Thank you for this lovely holiday! It is so good to find out that there’s more than discovering a country when travelling as a couple. Anyone thinking of going on this trip (Ride under Dracula’s Wings in Transylvania ) I can tell you now, you will have an excellent holiday. Two of us from the Lincolnshire went last June. It must be said that the Romanian people we met and in particular the organizers could not have done more to make us welcome.

All those beautiful traditional hand made blouses and your fine pottery are a major success back in US. No other monasteries can compare to what I’ve seen in Bucovina. I could not believe Romania has such fine castles! From all the castles I have seen, Bran is the closest to my heart! Peles was also a major surprise but maybe too royal for my taste. I thought the service from your office at Transylvania Live was excellent. I could ask for nothing more. You replied to messages, sent information, organised guides, transport etc etc. Raul (the guide) asked for feedback on Sunday and I said to him: he obviously knows the mountains very well indeed and had planned the trip very carefully, he was extremely helpful, always organising things at huts, or on the telephone. When things were tough and my knee was hurting quite badly by then, Raul offered to take heavy things from my pack and carry them himself. This was excellent. | Thanks to the tour itinerary and the expertise of our wonderful and charming guide, we learned at least a little bit about Romanian history; the impact of communism; urban, village and rural life; the natural beauty of Romania (mountains, forests, lakes, rivers, even a salt mine!). We learned about the hard-working farmers and about the enduring ways of the gypsies. We were invited into the home of the artist and his wife in Medias and from them and others we learned about the generous hospitality of your people. I enjoyed all of the holiday, I have to say. In particular, visiting Sighisoara and Sibiu brings back nice memories. Sighisoara for the medieval experience and the luck of arriving there in the middle of a festival, but also for the very special accommodation at Casa cu Cerb. We went to unusual places and met unusual people, definitely out of the beaten track and as far as I can tell the people we met chose to be in this business and were quite happy to meet us. | Romania, Bucharest and Transylvania were beautiful and exciting places to visit, rich in historic and scenic beauty. The arrangements by your company were fine. Your guide George was superb! He was most enjoyable and made the trip special. He is a true jewel of Romania . Any serious visitor to Romania definitely does need a tourist service similar to your own providing expert guides who conduct the tours in their own vehicles. Driving in Bucharest and elsewhere would be extremely difficult for the inexperienced and parking is a nightmare! Anthony W. – Philadelphia , PA. |
Thank you for putting together a wonderful trip to Transylvania. It was a real delight. We were very fortunate that in both Sighisoara and Sibiu we arrived in the middle of festivals, which meant that not only did we enjoy the beauty of these two places, we were also able to savour the real atmosphere that they can provide. I have to give you special praise for the organisation of the trip – from the sensitive way in which you handled my bereavement earlier in the summer to the efficiency of the airport transfer arrangements at the start and end of my holiday.
